Eighth grade social studies classes donned their WWI garb for a visit to the memorial tablet in the high school to pay their respects as they learned about Veteran's Day and its connection to World War I.

Seventh grade science students participated in a workshop with Jackie Meier, a local artist specializing in geometric abstraction, who talked about her art, process, and influences, and made connections between physics, biology, ecology, and the arts, before leading students in creating their own geometric abstractions using the metric units they had learned in class.

​Tom firmly believed the most important thing we can do for our children is to give them the best education possible. In order to support his family through this difficult time, the Pelham Teachers' Association has established a Fund that will be used to assist with college related expenses for his children.

Helga Luden, a holocaust survivor, speaks to the 8th grade about her experiences during the holocaust.

Pelham Middle School 8th graders learned firsthand about the horrors of the Holocaust from two guest speakers whose lives were upended by the atrocity. Esther Geizhals and Helga Schmitz-Fernich Luden were younger than 10 when they were forced to abandon their homes in Poland and Germany respectively because they and their families were Jewish.
